Part of why I was interested the key situation is I want a thinner ignition key made so I can put all three on a thin Orbitkey keychain. I currently have all three on there but the ignition key is throwing off the slickness of the whole thing.

And if you have a box under the bonnet then there is a key for it as well, all different. Wow, if I had opted for the glove box dash then there would be 4 keys to operate the smallest vehicle I own.

Sorry, no. I bought the knob several years ago when designing an air cleaner for the E-type. Was a happy coincidence that it was a very close match for the knurled design of the M3W switches.

And I do leave the key in place when the car is parked for short periods. With a not so obvious battery disconnect and the general weirdness of the machine I don't work about theft of the car. I do carry a spare key in the tool kit, though, in the event someone nicks the little knob one.
