I love your door hinges! That's icing the cake. Such a seemingly small detail makes the car fast when standing still. BTW which shade of grey did you choose? Is it a fantasy colour or a grey shade that you find in other real cars?
Wow Carl, I am in awe of the work and workmanship you have put into this and your other projects. Truly impressive and there must surely be a large back-up team hiding out of view in the photos!
It looks as if it will be about the same with as the Aero+8, the car is 1.26m wide at the door hinges. The louvres are 5cm from the hinge bar, the additional width is between the bonnet curve and the outside of the louvres.
As has been said, if you can do this why hasn't anyone else done this in the last 30 years???
They have. There have been many cars in the style of the Morgan, with similar GRP bodies, but with more modern chassis. Many will not have been well recieved on here. This one is a commendable effort by an individual rather than a kit car builder but its essentially the same sort of thing. And of course the factory are now doing just that with the PlusFour - a Lotus type ally construction with a Morgan type body on it. You have to admire Carl's skills and effort in getting the car to this stage. Very few of us could achieve that result.
