No, I reckon that all 3 wheelers will develop this fault unless the owner keeps a very close eye on the strap tensions.

Add me to this list; tiny crack on starboard tank forward mount on a 2013 with ~2.5k miles.

I had both sides reinforced and re-welded while it was apart.

Note to self: annual check of fuel tank and straps before winter

Chocadoodledoo 2012 model, both brackets noticed cracked two weeks ago at 12,000 mls braces fitted. Strap tension was fine. Vibration is the problem and alloy is prone to cracks, full stop.

Can it be cracked without any fuel smell ? And will every crack develop to a fuel leak ?

My cracks were in the brackets supporting the tank at the front, others have had them both here and the brackets under the tank towards the rear. As this crack is in the bracket attached to the tank it is potentially not a petrol leak source ( your question) , but is important to stop your tanks becoming potentially loose or vibrating potentially causing a leak !
see this thread http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/565035/Searchpage/1/Main/35809/Words/%2Btank+%2Bbracket+%2Bcrack/Search/true/re-fuel-smell#Post565035

Seperately others have had cracks where the fuel filler pipe joins the tank , which I think always leaks.
