Fantastic day and Morgan Cars certainly know what they are doing sending those Plus Sixes up time and time again, they just looked superb.
I'm sure everyone was impressed with their effortless speed and road holding and super smooth gear changes as they sped up that hill.
Now I want one :-)

Sadly I was not able to go so the photos bring some relief.

It was pouring with rain as we arrived around 0930.

Then the sun appeared but all around were black clouds.

The Plus Six parade was set for about two o'clock but the skies blackened and thunder was around. So we left at that point, and drove through torrential rain back to The Cottage. There it rained heavily on and off all afternoon and overnight.

A good event though, and well attended. A batch of dealer Plus Sixes were there for collection. I just think the green and silver paint options are a bit "ordinary" for a new model launch, but what do I know.

Oh and as we got back towards Malvern, I has a silver Aeromax behind, who turned left towards Ledbury.

Went up the hill in one of the factory Plus 6's. Very impressive, the driver said he normally drives a Plus 8 up the hill but the Plus 6 was quicker and it was slightly wet.
I like the car, Morgan have got a winner here.
Nearly got killed on the way up on Saturday morning, tree fell across the road 15yds in front of us coming into Brecon, very lucky indeed. Then we had to drive through floods and standing water on the way home.
All in all a good weekend thanks to our guardian angel.

We arrived at about 10:30, after the rain.
Between 11:00 and 13:00 I had 5 runs up the hill, carrying Mrs J our daughter and her partner...one at a time, of course.
I could get used to hill cliimbing..driving Tarka in manual mode I found I only needed 2md gear for most of the run, dropping to first more than once: even so I found myself catching up cars launched before me.

Daughter and partner had arrived in a TinTop, together with chairs and the paraphernalia for a picnic so at 13:00 we sat in the orchard carpark, under a hot sun. After lunch watched the Plus Six parade before walking round the displays.
Then after a lot of thunder the heavens opened..
In a brief lull we left, at about 3pm. The drive back was, to say the least, interesting.

I sat in Williams Plus Six. Impressive, as spacious as a Plus 8, but a lot more leg room. I didn't like the seats, much preferring the hi-back seats in the Plus 8.
Listening to them on the hill they sound like a modern turbo motor...which they are. I'm sorry, but they are a pale shadow of the naturally aspirated V8 in the Plus 8.

Gosh you were lucky

I'm probably more confident driving through flooded roads in my Morgan than my tintop as my BMW has a very low air intake which i only descoved a couple of years ago when a fellow directors car was written off in less than a foot of water

It was the worst conditions I have driven in with the hardtop fitted..but not too many drips (apart from me behind the wheel).

Still get wet legs though..will have to investigate at some point.
