Paul, sorry to hear you'll not be with us, hopefully a reasonably quick fix.

Well, what a day. It was great to be able to have a good nose around the M3W assembly area this morning. I can’t imagine any other manufacturer allowing, let alone encouraging customers to do that – it really is appreciated! It was also interesting to see the massive tooling for M3W body manufacturing that has recently been relocated to Pickersleigh Road to allow bodies to be fully manufactured in house. KBMOG and I were even privileged to have Steve Morris himself talk us through the process!

We did also enjoy the Pickersleigh 3 convoy from Malvern Link to Prescott and even made it into 3rd gear once or twice! Hopefully MMC got some great photos.

Those that left Prescott early probably made the right call because the rain from 2:30 onwards was of biblical proportions! We had a scary moment just south of Coventry when we hit a patch of water and the car 3-wheel aquaplaned. You’re truly just a passenger in that situation but fortunately we got away with it. When we got home, the only part of our clothing that wasn’t soaked was our socks!

I hope everyone else got home safely too.

We maybe missed the heavy rain at Prescott with our early departure but certainly got caught in it a few miles down the road. The aquaplane hazard was very much on my mind with lots of standing water on the roads. Ended up in a lay-by under a large umbrella for half an hour, the joys of open top motoring, in the UK, in Summer......

Enjoyed the day, particularly the access to the factory workshops, most interesting. Good to chat to everyone, sorry about the rather swift departure and the lack of goodbyes.

I hit the monsoon about 10 minutes after leaving Prescott, got my head down and kept going. Didn't loose the rain until north of Birmingham.

At least the sun came out when I got into YORKSHIRE.

Happy days. smile

It was the rivers of brown muddy water that got dumped full frontal on my face and in my lap, literally by the bucket load that I enjoyed (endured) the most 😂. Some of those roads were horrendous, glad we all made it back okay sunny
