Hello Everyone, have had the series 4 aero 2 weeks now and really enjoying it. in the last 6 years i must have had most of my dream cars from e types to quattroporte but the aero is quite a special car, tremendous power and lovely feel that i have not found in any other car, i could easily drive it all day long,but does any one know why when i raise the side windows they often produce pieces of sticky back foam stuck to the window, its like the car is trying to impress me with magic tricks

Not seen that before, I'm not even sure if they have foam seals around the windows. I'll take a peak at mine tomorrow.

I looked but no obvious signs as to where it maybe coming from. Could I suggest you wither give the dealer you bought from or the factory a call.

I have never heard anyone mention this in the 6+ years we've been online and therefore, my guess is that it is some padding off a part that is inside the door (a piece of trim) or perhaps was on the window from new and dropped into the cavity.
It doesn't look like the thin bits of foam they put between sheets of glass when they stack them, does it?

As simon says - sounds like a bit of foam that was on the glass at the build stage. Either take the door apart yourself and have a look, or get your dealer to do the same - shouldn't be a big issue to sort out.

thanks for the replies, the strange thing is the windows have been up and down lots of times then one window brings up some very sticky foam, then the other window does the same. I was thinking it may have been placed there to cure some rattles, but everything works ok and no rattles so i will leave untill next service and ask the dealer to check.
wish i had won the lotto I could do with extra !
