Hello,
I have a 2010 +4. 4 seater which has developed a crack in the plastic driver's side radiator side tank on my 2010 Morgan plus 4, 4 seater has developed a crack above the hose. The core is fine. I think that I read on one of the forums that the side tank is from a BMW. Does anyone know what model or would you recommend getting an aluminium one made? Thanks.

Dek, I have no idea of the radiator being from a BMW they may be right but you could end up with the same problem again of course going that route. I nave a Mulfab aluminium one fitted on mine which has been in service for 5 years and SimonH on here produces his own also and both products come recommended. Button on here has recently purchased an alu Chinese version but I think he has only just installed it so a bit too early so say how that turned out. Williams supply one which is probably made by either of the mentioned recommended companies. Alu rad

I have the mulfab ali one for 3 years now - very good and keeps the engine cool. Simon does similar.

I have the SiFab one - it was fitted 2 years ago. Well worth the money and far more reliable than the factory original.
Unless you will be swapping the radiator yourself, the extra cost of an aluminium one from any of the UK suppliers will be trivial in the grand scheme of things once the labour is taken into account.

Deck,
When you say radiator “side tank” are you referring to the plastic Header tank mounted near the fire wall. ?

Alu radOn a 2010 Morgan I would not recommend the Chinese Alloy Rad unless You are prepared to work with them. Mulfab and Simon have proven experience.

No, the radiator has a metal core with plastic tanks either side.
