Nice design. Easy to fit. Do the job as designed i.e. they bump stop on the leaf springs. Improved ride? Don't know about that. Improved handling? Again unsure.

Thanks PHZI. Just like to add that these are not a magic suspenion fix or handling enhancer. They are intended to address a specific problem that some cars have and others do not. If a car has a tendancy to bottom the diver will certainly be aware of the problem. The intension is that the progressive stops restrict and control the body movement thus preventing the uncomfortable impact

Hi Rog, could you please put me down for a set too. The new leafs and AVO’s have calmed the back brilliantly on our 2011 4/4, this should be the icing on the cake.
Cheers John

These stops work really well on my 2011 4/4. I have set the stops to 30.5mm, which seems to work very well. On Roger's recommendation I used Bluetack as a tell tale, to get a start point. http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/galleries/565620#Post565620The picture was set at 33mm & I lowered them to 30.5 in two stages using a block as per Rogers write up.(ensuring the rear is even) Near us a piece of road even upsets our jaguar suspension. I have nearly got the Morgan airborne to test the stops. No crashing, just a positive "boof" and no jarring. Her in doors has even comment on how much improved the ride is. High praise indeed as she hates the car. (in general the stops do not get impacted by the leaf spring, but when it does that is where the change is felt) Front end is the next challenge. Hi mine and is a 2011 4/4 as well did yours have the type 2 bracket like mine does? https://flic.kr/p/2gPueax

Cheers John Thanks John got your message. I went down a similar road. Replaced my springs and fitted avo’s too. Knocked up my first set of bump stops after that. At least now my avo’s are on the lowest setting and my fillings don’t fall out quite so often

Very good weekend - a set of bump stops arrived today so I've had the spanners out! They are superbly made and seem very well engineered and fitted perfectly. The road testing afterwards was as hoped, but still a pleasant surprise. A challenging section of road that always had the suspension at the back bottoming out and the prop kissing the body can now be taken without any ill effects. Crests/undulations sometimes used to result in a bang from the rear - no more. Another surprise is that I cannot hear them working - no banging or anything. The rear Avo shocks are now set on min setting so the ride is smoother too. What a totally brilliant idea and I reckon a real bargain given the positive effects and quality of the bump stops. I'm raising a glass to Roger tonight for all his efforts, cheers!
