Due to having a few drivers not spotting the M3W, guess being so small and low, I’ve started driving with the side lights on.
Didn't want to use headlights for the extra load on the charging system but the side lights are so dim it’s hardly worth it!
Thought I would give these 2.5w leds a go from Amazon, wow they are bright!
Just squeeze through the bulb hole.
I can give a link but not sure of the forum rules.

That's a great idea. When I had a 3 wheeler drivers course at the factory, the ex-Police grade 1 instructor considered driving with dip headlights on all the time was a very good idea in a 3 wheeler. Being low and small its important to be as visual as possible - those led sidelights look a great idea.

Side lights? I believe those would be nice but mine doesn’t have them.

I found an unused single conductor female connector on the down tube from the dashboard on either side and an unused double conductor female connector in the boot under the tray but do not know where they were designed to be used.

I do run with the dipped lamps on and they are LEDs and are bright.

I always thought the MOT testers frowned on LED sidelights with halogen mains. Let us know how it goes!

On the subject of driving with headlights on during daylight hours. In the USA the Morgan M3W is imported as a motorcycle and several states ( including Tennessee where I live)
require motorcycles to run with headlights on during daylight hours. They issue hefty fines for noncompliance and Tennessee automatically charges fault in an accident to the motorcycle
if they don't have their lights on.

I lived in Cambodia. It's illegal to run with your lights on during daylight hours but not illegal to run without lights on at night!

Good to know if I ever get back to Tennessee again. My fathers last home in the USA was in Tennessee but we didn’t have motorcycles then.

I tried LED side light bulbs but they did not last very long. The supplier refunded my money & I refitted the original bulbs. Cheaper LEDs have a plastic base & are likely to melt with head lamps on.

You need to purchase led lamps that are designed for professional applications. If I were looking for led side lamps I would look at
PIAA or Hella to start the search.
