I also received the same letter this morning although fortunately my brake pedal assembly is one of the later ones that does not have "M3W" cut into the pedal.
You will note there is no mention of the cracking of the front lower wishbone mounting lug which some of us have had replaced FOC by MMC.
I would consider this to be an equally serious problem which was reported to the DVSA at the same time as the faulty pedal assemblies, but which MMC appear to have chosen to ignore.
Don't hold your breath for a letter on that issue.

One would have hoped /expected that to have been dealt with at the same time. Oh well out to the shed to see if it has been done. So was the brake pedal modification done when your car was with MMC for the chassis repairs Elcyd? You would have expected it to be done as all the dealers were made aware of the brake and chassis recall when the message from MMC was originally put on this forum back in June. They must be aware to check every car that they see, that comes into the inspection category? There was talk of the brake linkage weld being inspected and the new link pin only being fitted if they thought the weld was not complete. The feedback from those that have had the pedal link fitted is that it improves the brake pedal feel, as well as making the linkage failsafe. I hope they are fitting the modification to all the old "M3W" type pedal boxes, no matter what the condition of the weld. MMC has "only" taken a bit over a year to organise this part of the recall but I suppose they are not very familiar with what is required.

I would agree that the brake pedal feel is improved with the modification.

When I dip into the M3W thread it seems to me sometimes that MMC are damned if they do and damned if they don't on the subject of recalls, just saying.

When I dip into the M3W thread it seems to me sometimes that MMC are damned if they do and damned if they don't on the subject of recalls, just saying. Certainly better over advising of a problem than under-advising.
