As I've had a bit of a moan, I thought I'd redress the balance and just say how pleased I am with the service I got from Techniques (and thank you very much to the TMers who recommended me to them!  ) - it was well worth the four hour round trip. Not only has the car been serviced but Brian has worked his magic and all the rattles have disappeared. And despite the fact my car was absolutely filthy, it got washed for free  The only downside is that Brian was so enthusiastic about Morgan racing that my OH is now investigating whether he can give it a go. *sigh*

The two nearest dealers that might be 'local' to Selcouth in Essex seem to be Melvyn Rutter in Herts and Morgan Brands Hatch in Kent. In defence of my local dealer, I bet the culprit wasn't Morgan Brands Hatch!

Having dealt with Brian at Techniques previously (on a prospective car purchase), I can say that I found him to be very knowledgeable, experienced and professional. Therefore, it doesn't surprise me that you had a positive experience with him (I have heard the same from others).

I can echo the above, regarding Brian and the Techniques crew. Bought a car from them last year and they were top notch. He's always willing and able to give good and free advice and nothing seems to be too much bother.
