Can anyone help. After checking my brake fluid today found a short loom hanging beside the reservoir with a plug in socket on the end . Don't know if I knocked it off a connection or it was there all the time. I can't find anywhere to plug it back in. Everything on the car electrical seems to work ok. Hopefully someone can help. The car is a 1800 duretec 4/4 .thanks in advance. PS one wire is black and green the other black.

Is it for a brake fluid level indicator in the reservoir and normally attached to the reservoir cap?

Ray from a quick check of BS wiring code i.d. it would seem from the colours you identified that the plug may be related to the fan relay..? Is there a relay within reach of the harness that the plug might have been connected to..?

. i wonderd that but the reservoir has a form of rubber gromit in the top. Perhaps it's never been conected to anything. It is a Morgan. Thanks for your help.

Spare washer motor connection should you ever need to move the steering wheel to the other side.

who knows as I said it's confirmed now as a genuine Morgan.

Take a look at the chassis harness drawing towards the bottom of the 2006 parts book. There is a washer connector on both sides of the car (wire colours LGB and B).

According to that the brake fluid level should be black and white. Black should be the earth (negative). I can't find any likely reference to black and green so given its location I think Max5 is correct and it is the brake fluid level switch.
