Help! Iam looking for a new full clutch kit for my 1981 +8. I have tried all the normal places, but the sticking point is the self centralising release bearing. The kit is a borg and beck . Any ideas?

Thanks

A quick look at my Roger Bell book says an 81 car should have the engine and box as per the current Rover SD1, (5 speed LT77 gearbox) according to Rimmers this wasn't fitted with a self centralising bearing and the full kit is readily available.

but then I could be wrong!

Give Uncle Melvyn at Rutters or Keith at BHM a ring to be sure, I would they will have done hundreds and can remove the guesswork for you.
Or if you have it all stripped out take it along to your local motor factors and they'll recognise it more than likely or at least be able to look it up for you.

I have used these people in the past when they were called Autosessive, since the recent rename they have a good 50% offer on, it might be worth putting your registration number in and see what happens Car Parts
