I think the stage 1/2 upgrades are by Aero Racing not MMC ? So perhaps the above is correct?
I had the pleasure of driving the Krazy Horse stage 4 M3W at MOG 19, what a machine! Something like 140 bhp plus IIRC, awesome!
Their stage 2 conversion looks good value.........

As soon as I get a fresh reply from my dealer or MMC I'll let you know!

In 2016 I ordered (and received in 2017) my US-market M3W with a Stage 1 kit factory installed. I understand availability has changed on and off, so your mileage may vary. In any event, I really like it. Can be loud, but a soft pedal can modulate it to be socially acceptable in most cases wink

I have factory Stage 1 pipes. They are very loud. When I first had them, I thought it was too much but I have grown to like them and wouldn’t swap back now. Yes, they are Aero Racing ones. I was told by my dealer that the factory takes the view that if you fit anybody else’s Stage 1 pipes it will invalidate the warranty. In light of that (whether the factory is right or not, I didn’t want to have an argument with them over invalidation of the warranty), I went for the factory/AR ones when I would probably have chosen the G56 ones otherwise. Be aware the factory ones are prone to failures. My first set had to be replaced (under warranty) within a month and on this year’s Grindelwald trip another car had its new(ish) Stage 1 pipes fail. I

What is the failure scenario with the Stage 1 factory (A/R) pipes? Just so I know where to keep an eye on mine... I had previously only heard of cracking issues with the stock pipes, and thought the larger diameter stage 1 pipes may be stronger.

The join about a foot back on my right pipe was not welded properly so air was getting sucked in. Sounded awesome under deceleration! Planenut/Keith, maybe you could explain what went wrong with Keith’s?
