Have seen a few Morgan’s with a single driving light typically on drivers side. Was curious if this was more common. I do have a vintage Lucas amber lens and was thinking I might add.

It would be yellow, not amber. That is a fog light which was sometimes paired with a separately switched driving light. The fog light should only work on low beam and the driving light, with a clear lens, should only work on high beam.

I sort of followed this up a bit and I was somewhat surprised to see it is very common to refer to the colour of these lights as amber. I always think of amber as more orange in colour. Anyway I found an interesting item on " Why Yellow Light Is Used in Fog"

Ok interesting. Yellow is nature’s early spring colouring for the same basic reasons, insects see it more easily in the lower light of spring.

Even in traffic lights there seems to be ambiguity about the colour, amber or yellow. Look at the Wikipedia entry: The amber light warns that the signal is about to change to red. In a number of European countries – among them the United Kingdom – a phase during which red and yellow are displayed together indicates that the signal is about to change to green.[4] Actions required by drivers on a yellow light vary, with some jurisdictions requiring drivers to stop if it is safe to do so, and others allowing drivers to go through the intersection if safe to do so.
A flashing amber indication is a warning signal. In the United Kingdom, a flashing amber light is used only at pelican crossings, in place of the combined red–amber signal, and indicates that drivers may pass if no pedestrians are on the crossing.
