Welcome to the forum, loved the video. My 1st Morgan was a 1950's +4.
I note that the person who prints "SLOW" on every bend and every hill in England, Wales and Ireland has not yet made it to NZ. Maybe they are more frugal with the paint there!!

Hi everyone and sorry about the slow response to matters raised.
Luddite .... I have a remote /Mike' in a 'Dead-cat' (fluffy sleeve) nestled in my right rear over-rider and just beside the exhaust. This is connected to the GoPro with a 2 metre wire, using the GoPro Charging / Remote Mike port on my GoPro 3+. I don't think the camera battery could supply enough power to drag sound further than this and so it places a limitation on where you can position the camera. If having to position the camera beyond that distance (ie windscreen etc) I tend to wipe any distorted camera produced audio and use music instead. The Frog Eye has since been sold to a 70 year old buying his first sportscar. I had lots of fun in it over 20 years and had modified it with a 1380 balanced, ported and polished engine with a 5 speed from a Toyota Starlet Turbo. The Morgan remains standard - to all intents and purposes.
Headless Blue - you thought my video could easily have been your father driving - I'll take that as a compliment.
MOG 615 - you say Tim Cree but wonder if you meant Tim Hill?
Madmax - thanks for noting the way our Morgan 'shifts' The secret is using Redline MTL oil. Redline found most oils on the market today are just too slippery for older cogs and in particular those with worn syncro's. Many Morgan owners (globally) now swear by Redline MTL despite its additional cost ... as I understand it.
DaveK - lovely colour is one out of Derek Atkinson's head. Derek is the restorer of Morgans in NZ. Atkinsons Restorations Ltd NZ.
Georgetoad - you mentioned the bends in the road. Our Morgan Plus 4 of course has the TR3 engine. When the Triumph TR3 was road tested in the 1950's a motoring writer said ... "the TR3 driver should not be too concerned as to how he is going to take the corner, more how he will enter the foliage." I think TR3 and TR3 powered Morgans have been trying to prove him wrong ever since. Modern tyres do help..
Will be putting a new video on the Movies/ Video forum later tonight - related to a club lunch run. Am leaving for 2 weeks on the Sunshine Coast, Australia this week.
Regards Brian Mossman

Thanks for the heads up on your sound recording technique Brian, thanks also for posting the vids. As you may have read in the video section I have bought the kit to fit a remote mic, and it has the benefit of a dead cat. Suspect your cat is well dead breathing in all those exhaust fumes... (-:
