So I'm a little confused....
I've been following DaveW's exhaust upgrade and came across the image showing "rear twin tailpipe".

So on my 110year Plus 4 on of the free options was the "Rear exit sports exhaust system, catalytic converter backwards" which I ordered...
However my exhaust is not twin tailpipe...

Have Morgan fitted the wrong exhaust?

How else can I check ...

I suspect the twin tailpipe might be restricted to the sports manifold and cat, but ask your dealer.

I will.... but if you look at the Morgan website the plus 4 has twin tail pipes

Hi there, my 110 Plus 4 also has a single pipe. I too ordered the sports exhaust and, having had Phil at Allon White take it a for a test drive having now done about 4600 miles since mid March and no experience of others to compare with (with me as passenger), he confirmed a good deal of satisfaction with the engine mapping (took it through different ranges of rpm for different gears) and sound of the exhaust, basically as anticipated (I trust Phil’s opinion). I defo got the impression that there is no twin pipe as such for the current cars ....

The Sports exhaust on my 4/4 has to be one of my favourite upgrades - it’s a single pipe to but the sound is addictive

Craig, is the final mounting of the end pipe intentionally shaped this way like on your foto or has the end pipe perhaps touched ground once and the pipe was bent upwards? Normally the mounting plate which is welded to the pipe is vertical and straight and the pipe is positioned slightly lower. No drama but the whole system could be under an unwanted slightly tension.

I had experienced it more than ones that the end pipe touched the tarmac when my 4/4 was new to me because the endpipe is relatively low and ends out of the chassis, so that some gate entrances with a bump are already sufficient to cause a contact. Therefore I am a bit careful about this issue nowadays.

My new 110 has a twin pipe and it has the sports manifold as shown on Dave's post. I believe that it comes as a package. You are correct that, as advertised, the 110 has a sports exhaust from the cat back but does not have the sports manifold, which is configured differently.

Even more addictive is to shove the tailpipe out under the side , you can hear it better !

Heinz, the pictures were taken whilst the exhaust was being fitted at Williams Automobiles (see here) and before it was properly lined up and tightened into position. I’ve had no touching on tarmac issues since the install.

Sports exhaust

So I'm not sure if there was an answer or not so far.

Is the CAT back sports exhaust not simply the second part of the full sports exhaust with manifold?
In theory should I not be able at some future date to just order the sports manifold and CAT and make a full sports exhaust.
I was hoping that this would be the case then add the remap and have my extra HP...

That is also why I was hoping there could be some other way of distinguishing the CAT back sports exhaust...

Anyhow will contact Richard Thorn this weekend and attempt to get some answers...
