Ok guys and gals, I got the diagnosis and it’s all fixed already.

The rubber elements inside of the Centa drive completely failed, they were totally disintegrated. No issues with engine at all.

There was also an issue with the coupling.

It was covered completely under warranty. I’ll report back once I have the car! But things are sounding good.

That is good that you found the cause, not easy to get to, but it at least is covered by warranty.

It concerns me that yours is a 2019 Centa and mine was built earlier this year as well. I have been following the development of the Krazy Horse coupling as a possible alternative when my Centa fails.

That is the reason I try to NOT spin the rear wheel or to rapidly engage the clutch when shifting forward to rear motion.

On any manual transmission car, I always have used first gear sparingly when it comes to brisk acceleration. Second gear has always been the gear I give the vehicle some gas in. These rules will only be underscored even more for me on my 3W. The 3 Wheeler drivetrain, though mostly robust, is incredibly complicated, and it’s not likely to get less expensive to maintain over the course of time.

I am quite frankly a bit surprised at tots failure considering the car has barely turned 1300 miles, but, flukes happen and I’m hardly upset. After all, with the means to spend nearly sixty grand on a toy, life is hardly the worst.

I’ll report back when I have the car and I’ve driven it a little - I’m now genuinely curious to see how the drive feels.
