Yesterday, acrid Salisbury Plain in Ians D registered 4/4 2.0L, or his narrow body +4...
Until recently the property of Peter Ballard, it has SSL suspension at the front and 5 link at the back.
The ride is remarkable. It is also quick.
Great fun, as co-pilot I was able to enjoy a beer at lunchtime!

Having fitted the new rear suspension bracket I did a test drive. Down to Felixstowe for some petrol and a browse in the old fashioned hardware store there then home via the lanes.

A loop around Guildford Shere and dorking as a treat after two weeks in Portugal . Early morning so no traffic, solo run so a little hairy too.
Hired a Seat Alhambra while in Portugal to accommodate us four and my bike bag, it was awful, clumsy, grabby brakes, poor steering lock and wierd gear ratios.
Also went out later today with Angie for a beer at the Frog and Nightgown near Horsham, lovely ride from Ashtead down the A24 and back via Newdigate, soft evening sun and little traffic.
I’m getting more confidence after 600 miles of driving the Morgan, it is a learning curve and one that I’m very pleased to be on.

Just returned from the Isle of Man. Did the TT circuit first, they are very brave men those riders, lulled into a false impression that Manx roads are pothole free!
Of course the circuit is free of potholes the Racers top 200 mph!
Once on the "normal " roads the potholes are in abundance. Rodgers bump stops worked very well, checked them when we got back home and all is fine.
Only problem was going up the M6 in pouring rain and the leaks from the hood rail seal, sad as the car is 4 years old, my MGB 47 years old and dry as a bone.

David, add an additional strip of seal just stuck on top of the existing, 5 minute job & it usually cures your issue

Thanks John,
Just done that, lots of water high pressure with hose pipe. Looks as though its cured, many thanks for that tip.

Cheers

Howdy Cooperman / David

Out of curiosity, may I ask what type of "additional strip of seal" you advise. Is it a strip of neoprene...and if so, what dimension and how affixed?

Thanks in advance

Mac

I found dry glazing tape works well.
It's about 10x4mm soft foam rubber with a self adhesive strip on the back.
You should be able to get it from a local glazier or joiner.
Hope this helps.

Got mine from the Tool Station, it is double strips but easy to cut down the middle, fits ok.
