I found my throttle pedal itself was dragging a bit, creating a high idle speed on occasion. Turns out it just need a bit of lubrication at the pivot point, which is fairly hard to do as there is no apparent hole to allow oil to flow into the pivot area, and it's darned hard to reach the pedal from the seat area.

The footwells are deep dark hole that might as well be safe storage lockers because getting in there is nigh impossible. Sort of like a Chinese Finger Trap, once you get in there is no way out, and god forbid you get a muscle cramp while down in the hole⛑. Medics might be involved.

There is an access panel on the top of the footwell, under the cowl. It's not great but it does help a little to get at things on the pedal box.

Yes, know that well. Have had that off several times, for various reasons. Doesn't really help with the pedal pivot lube as it's too far forward. Really wish Morgan had made that access panel much larger, say the entire area above the pedal box.

I have not removed that access panel but why could you not make a larger panel and cut a bigger hole? I did that in a VW Bug to access the starter from above. Made a world of difference in keeping it running on gravel roads.

Sorting the design of he brake hose routing is the primary reason I haven't yet made a larger access panel. To make a tidy installation, I'm thinking I would like to route the brake hoses straight down from the reservoir, and through the ledge next to the new panel. Time to take the pedal box out for a complete clean and lube anyway, so a job for this winter I think.

I had the same thing a few weeks ago. All the return springs were good as was the cable (no melted bits). A healthy application of silicone/teflon spray lubricant (RS Components) on the bottom of the pedal area and at the linkage on the EFI did the trick.
