Chances are MMC haven't taken legal action because it looks very little like their product.

While looking at kits a few years ago I cam across a range of replica type cars. I was looking at Lotus 7 types but found these Here is a link to a general site - select "links" then search "manufacturers" www.kitcarlinks.comA couple listed below http://www.gentrycars.co.uk/http://www.jbamotors.co.uk/* I went to the national kitcar show too and saw some stunning kits and exceptionally finished cars. Many replicas - maonly Lotus 7/Cobra Lots of "interesting" cars too. There are many 3-wheelers too. Worth a browse to see what you may come across on the road!! There is something for every ££££ pocket there but.... The real beauts cost £££££££ There is a large community too and their websites offer a lot of knowledge/useful stuff if you are prepared to search.

In the 80's there were quite a few Morgan lookalike kit cars a lot based on the Herald or Spitfire chassis. Ie you just bolted on a new body. There was even a 3 wheeler based on a 2CV/Dianne chassis (Lomax), little bit more complicated to build as you had to do a little bit of work on the rear suspension ie had to rotate the suspension through 180 degrees. I am not going to knock either of them as I owned both types as a student/trainee accountant. Great entry cars and cheap to insure, a certainly encouraged me to buy a morgan as my first brand new car! http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/pictures/46/Cradley+Motor+Works_Lomax+223

You would be forgiven for thinking this is a genuine Morgan as the car bears many similarities to the genuine item except the price. And as such please return your guide dog to the training centre for further recognition training as even he should be able to tell this is a P.O.S!!! Indeed one ugly car; they would be forgiven if they just called it "kit car #2,093" or something; not that we need more ugly cars on the roads, but this?

I read that Morgan had copyrighted their traditional shape so I'm surprised they do nothing to stop some of the replicas......unless its the cost of doing so.

It was one of the more authentic looking Ferrari replicas (after the infamous Miami Vice "Daytona") These people Total Head Turners specialise in replica classics. ~iw
