Hi My 2000 plate 4/4 wipers don'k park and the intermittent wipe also does not work. However they do work OK on slow and fast speed.
I have changed the park switch which I though would be the problem but this has not solved the problem.
I'm planning to change the intermittent wipe relay next but not sure which one it is. There are two next to the wiper motor and more under the dash.
Any ideas or suggestions would be great, could the park and intermittent wipe issue be caused by the relay ?
Thanks Ian

Do you have the original plastic lights/wiper stalks? If you have metal aftermarket items (as I do on one of my 4/4s) the intermittent setting is lost. Just a thought...

My wipers used to do all manner of odd things from time to time. Following another thread here I took the advice to clean the multi pin connector at the motor itself and sure enough it was rusty. I opened it up, cleaned all the rust off, put it back together and no more problems, might be worth a try?

I wanted to suggest the same thing as Simon, he was faster.
Electrical contact spray did help to clean the connector plug.

The plus seems clean and I have checked the wiring from the switch and the park connections are not being made so it looks like it could be the switch so i'll take a look at that next.

Problem resolved, it was the intermittent wiper relay which was causing all the problems, new relay fitted and everything works as it should do. For reference the relay is a Lucas 13D 12V EER1098.

Glad you got it sorted out. I hate electrical problems.
