Day started out stuck in an office but improved immensely having made my escape while there was still enough light to head inland along the Mid Mar road through Tarland and Logie Coldstone to Bellabeg in Strathdon before a gentle potter through Glen Buchat in the last of the light. Good few cobwebs blown away. Now home, fed, and time for a dram methinks...

Once again The Adventures of Red Three have produced envy as you drive through the verdant hills.

Have you ever driven in the desert with scorching heat?

Not in the ThreeWheeler...but have driven it on the Autobahn in 35+ degree heat (High 90s in Fahrenheit) which was fairly revolting and have driven various more or less suitable cars in deserts like the Wahiba Sands in Oman and in the Atacama in Chile.

Driving the three wheeler in high heat you tend to feel like a piece of cheese on a cracker.

"Driving the three wheeler in high heat you tend to feel like a piece of cheese on a cracker."

Very odd metaphor. Very funny. But odd.

BTW-"CHEESE and crackers" is a common expletive used around these parts by churchy folks not wanting to take the lords name in vain. I also find that odd as everyone knows what you are really saying, so it sort of defeats the purpose..

That is funny, since I came up with the saying on my own after a few years of ocean kayaking. On hot days the feeling of paddling in a pool of your own perspiration you look like cheese melting off a ritz cracker unless you roll the kayak to cool off.

We also are looking across the inlet at a shipyard that has small yard tugs to move things in and out of the dry docks. They are very flat and small and look very much like a phone booth on a ritz cracker. I cannot imagine working in the little thing on a hot day.
