Mine leaks if I allow the car to sit for a week (typical i hear). Anybody know the o ring needed to replace it? I’m guessing I need to run the car ahead of removal and replacement in order to prevent a lot of oil loss?

Mine has leaked since day one. Maybe a bit less since I installed the AR Stage 1 kit (maybe less back pressure?).

While mine doesn't leak at all (untouched from new AFAIK), I suspect they are prone to damage on installation if one is not exceptionally careful. Reminiscent of Triumph twin rocker shaft O-rings.

Anyway, I buy these sort of engine bits from vtwin.parts. They usually have decent stock of gaskets for the x-wedge. Can't find the o-ring in the x-wedge catalog, so can't look up the part number or size specs on Vtwin.parts

And if you are replacing that seal you will need the gasket that goes between the crankcase and the cam and crank cover plate and don’t forget a new serpentine belt since you went to the trouble to remove the old one just to get to where you were going.

The crank position sensor is on the outside of the crankcase, front side, engine lower left (right if you are facing the engine). No need to touch the cambelt or the cam case cover.

Really, how does the sensor leak? I thought the OP was referring to the crank pinion seal and I had no clue there was a crank sensor. My mistake, sorry.

Well... I replaced the voting today with a slightly fatter o ring. Not realizing the sensor housing is plastic I put too much pressures on it trying to seat the o ring and snapped the housing. Now I need a new sensor. Now to find the S&S parts manual in here. 🤪

That is the Morgan torque spec.

Wish there was a book of torques specs for the machine.
