So you may have read my question about the front suspension, the replies went to 5 pages!

Today looks like it could be dry - first dry day for 3 weeks here, so I'm planning on taking the Morgan for a nice 75 miles round the edge of Snowdonia.

I've made no changes other than fitted front AVO shocks so it will be interesting to see if there is any improvement. Not expecting much as the old shocks seemed to be working OK, just looked tatty.

fingers crossed and if you're out and about and spot a green Morgan give me a wave!

Gary

My cart springs were fairly stiff despite being less leaves than standard so the shocks didn't have much to do , will be interesting to hear if they make a big difference , could depend on rough road surfaces or holes in roads .

well, knock me down with a feather duster, as SWMBO says.

What a difference the AVOs have made. Whilst its not Rolls Royce or even Stag smooth its much, much better than before.

I wasn't expecting much as said above but even potholes are now tolerable.

Very Happy

It very much sounds like the shocks have stopped the extreme reactions of the leaf springs and smoothed everything out ! happy3

Nice!

May I ask where did you get yours from and fitted? And what 'spec' are they... Wolf spec, Rutherford, another?

Cheers.

Anyone know the best (cheapest smile ) place to get AVO's from? Been toying with the idea for a while, but think it's time to take the plunge.

Your experience matches mine. As I think I mentioned in the other thread, the Rutherford suspension upgrade on my car exceeded my expectations by quite a wide margin.
