Hello all
Over the past 5 years I have had 2 new Morgans ie a 4/4 and a Roadster. On both I had many heat lines that just don't work. Has anybody else experienced this?

Yes in my 2009 Sport from new and in my present Plus 8. My previous Plus 8 had those sensible demisting vents throwing kW's of heat up there..

Yes it is.. I'm pretty sure this has come up before and it's fairly common.

Hello all

I can't remember where the switch was Jon but the ON lamp was the 3rd indicator lamp in on the RHD side bottom row on the centre panel.

I have just been contacted by the garage doing the service and MOT on my 5 year old plus 4 to be told the control unit for the heated screen has failed. With the replacement unit costing a couple of hundred pounds the total cost of my service and MOT has come to nearly £1,000. The thing probably least used on my Morgan is the part that is costing me the most!!!

Chilliblu. Funny my previous w/screen from new. Heater had packed up prior to the cars first MOT. It passed 4 MOTs prior to its replacement after a stone encounter. (New one is already showing failure "lines" after a year)

Fairly common? I was told today at the factory that failure is rare. The fact of the matter is, given the number of replacements I have had, the windscreens aren't fit for purpose in terms of demisting.

My screen is patchy some elements work and a big patch in front of the driver doesnt. Its never failed an MOT on this including last time. I dont know how they could check it unless they practiced heavy breathing on it for 10 minutes or so!
I thought replacement heated screens were £1000.00 on their own?
