My quick release for the steering wheel rattles if not quite engaged properly. Check that.

Other common rattle points are the headlight retaining rings, pack them out with a bit of electrical insulation tape. The outboard seat belt anchorage bolt can be too long and the side panel flexes and vibrates on the end of the bolt, you will see a witness mark on the panel if this is happening. The cure is to shorten the bolt to the correct length and some anti vibration stick on tiles help prevent the side panel flexing. The rattling steering boss can be cured with a strip of masking tape over the splines before assembling. Make sure the safety latch is fully engaged after and put an anti tamper nut on one of the steering wheel attachment bolts, then leave the wheel permanently on. That works for the earlier Lifeline quick release, not sure if the same problem exists with the later Travens type.

So, I have been checking everything that I can access without taking out the engine. I moved the camera up to the dashboard and the sound is more evident, and louder than in the previous video.

At 41 seconds into it when I am slowing down it is heard but when I take off from stops it is much worse.

Sounds like a loose panel bolt to me, at a first pass I would check all your cockpit bulkhead bolts behind the seat squabs, from both in the cockpit and behind it, all the floor panel bolts underneath and anything else you can see while doing so!

All the panels behind the seats are tight.

Something banging around in the area of the clutch sounds more like it when you are driving it. The noise only happens when the clutch is being actuated.

Sounds like the rollover valve.

I will check it and see if tying it down helps, but I have my doubts.

After sealing off the rear bulkhead behind the seats, putting dynamat on that bulkhead and the floor and the sides adjacent the seats I noticed the sound appeared to be louder. Probably more noticeable since the coliepie of noises that come from the rear has been dampened.

Since the noise happens with the clutch actuation and the noise is louder with the camera on the dash as opposed to being located on the roll bar I am inclined to think it is in front of me and not behind me.

Thanks for the thoughts Bruce.
