The dealers can do it, and also the factory do it by post. I looked into the abyss (the electrics box) saw the layout......which was like looking into an open chest on an operating table, and decided to take it to the factory rather than extract and replace without damage.

So, Dave, I got the 110 Plus 4 with the sports exhaust offered. As you know I am a simpleton, thus am I likely to already have a “mapping” that gives a bit more grunt (because I ordered the sports exhaust) compared with a normal Morgan exhaust? You mention manifold change but would I get similar results do ya reckon if I simply went to the factory, handed over 234 gold sovereigns and got them to just do a “flash” upgrade? (I have no concept nor understanding of what I just said tbh).
What would I ask for if I was to call the factory? I am concerned that if I call in, there may be a chap at the factory gates who just drops his trousers as I drive past and I don’t think that is the “flash” I’m looking for 🥺

SteveT did exactly this...…(not the trouser thing)...…..The 110 has the "Sports Exhaust" but not the manifold or cat. My understanding was that you couldn't have the flash unless you had the sports manifold and cat, but SteveT confounded this by going and having the flash on the existing standard manifold and cat. The factory also told Steve that since he has the Sports exhaust, he has the option of just buying the manifold and cat which reduces the cost quite a bit.

I found quite a difference with just the new system in terms of breathing and low down torque, but the flash has really brought it alive.

If you want to go ahead, ring the factory, ask for servicing and tell them what you would like doing. I would also get a price on the manifold and cat. SteveT is undecided, and it would be really interesting to do a rolling road as standard, with a flash and the standard manifold & cat, with no flash and the sports manifold and cat, and finally the whole thing. This is what customers want to see.

The racing crew have found that the Clubsport Plus 4 can hassle Roadsters on track, and now I can see why that is...………. grin2

PS....if you could get up here on a decent day I would be happy to explore your fear threshold.

It is now on the “list of things to get sorted in the New Year” list (sic). Once I can drive again. Just had to get escorted by Lady HB to check on Florence in the garage as I was going stir crazy. Trickle charger seems to be working fine....
Ps in response to your ps.- Query fear threshold???? I pray you are not talking about showing everyone in class how “slim of hip” you are by standing at factory gates....etc? I thought the injunction stopped that from happening so often????

It is still early days with my P4. It has the free flow sports manifold, new cat, and then the sports exhaust. As per Dave's report, the loud pedal is linear with no jerking at all and the lower gears are all very lively. I think that it is easily a match and perhaps more so than my 89 P4 which had an extra 30bhp and was very quick indeed. It looks like a winner to me.

Thanks for the update Dave, I wonder if they would do a flash by post on my car with the Librands manifold? I will give them a ring and find out

Always tempting! smile

Good point - I will speak to the factory first and see what they say they can do and go from there. Will be interesting to see what improvements it gives to mine if its possible
