i am struggling to find a new heater bypass valve for my car, ive had the part on order for a month now with melvin rutter and they are now telling me its going to be a very long wait... apparently their chap cannot find the correct metal!! ive just emailed burton power on the offchance they have one and also sifab who someone mentioned in an earlier post to see if they can make one, but can anyone suggest any other people i could ask either to have one made or find the actual part. thanks this is the part... https://mogparts.net/product/metal-heater-by-pass-pipe-all-cars-to-3-1997

That's not the valve just the bypass to work with a 4 way control valve . Could you not replace with a complete generic control such as on live link below? ![[Linked Image]](http://www.kitcardirect.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/h/e/heater-control-valve-002_burned.jpg)

I put a ‘Taxi heater control valve’ on my ‘82 4/4. It seems to work fine.
£14.50 on eBay.

Better than the Mog one in my opinion as it's a proper open/shut bypass circuit.

Yes I'm sure that would work fine on an earlier engine. I guess the modern equivalent with four way valve is to not upset the overall coolant flow on current prissy engines irrespective of heater setting.
