Bonsie,

Yes, I paid to see a "Back Doc" with very limited results so I persevered with my local GP who found me one on the NHS. Brilliant chap, it turns out that I walk with a list to Starboard hence the strain on my back. He came up with some simple exercises and, touch wood, things are a lot better.
I hope you get some good results.

Hi Bonesie
Yes, I had nerve damage in my spine earlier this year resulting in a loss of function in my right leg. Doctor only prescribed muscle relaxants and h/duty painkillers.
I went to a chiropractor because the drugs were only treating the symptoms not the cause.
Great results but be careful where you go, as my guy said " there are some sh*t chiropractors out there". Personal recommendation is always best I think.
I should add the GP did advise physio but the waiting list was over a year.
My chiropractor has also given me an exercise program to prevent the problem reoccurring.

Hi Bonesie,
I visited a Chiropractor for a painful back. What worried me was the hard sell ! The tv with video running with American patients giving testimonies.
The final put off was if I signed up to 10 treatments he would give me discount !
I booked the Physiotherapy Via the NHS Doctors Practice,He cured my back pain after 3 sessions!
As Gordon D mentions you have to pick carefullly

Tried a chiropractor and got a similar result ( “you’re going to die in agony but if you come to me every week, I can help you live with the pain”).
So I went to a Sports Physio who saw that my hips had slipped out of position and he yanked them back into shape. Wonder what I would have paid the chiropractor over the years?

Good afternoon Bonesie, I empathise with you

Having suffered for 30+ years, I've tried everything that's legal, eventually a workmate put me onto a Chiro around 15 years ago & it's transformed my life - for me money well spent now, but I need a regular top-up every 2-3 months unless it goes 'pop' in between
