I have a friend with an ARP4 the car runs fine but the side lights are on all the time.
If we remove no2 fuse side light switch they go out the same with 19 & 20 left and right sides.
If remove 5 body control they go out and 1 of the relays inside releases.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this model?

Are you sure this isn't by design?

My Roadster is wired/programmed to always have front and rear side lights on with ignition.

This is with the ignition off and the key withdrawn.

Apologies, didn't realise. This is the standard Plus 4 wiring schematic FWIW. The fuse numbers you mention correlate. Not sure how ARP4 would differ given LED lights, but problem seems BCU orientated as you suggest with maybe rogue input [Linked Image]

Having just checked it seems the 3.7 Roadster BCU has strong similarities with Plus 4. The connectors and wiring for sidelight controls correlate for example. This may help therefore.

ETA: full 2014 on parts book in pdf format (which offers better resolution wiring diagrams) here.

Since 2011, DLRs are mandatory for all new cars and small delivery vans in the EU. Trucks and buses followed in August 2012. Vehicles produced before don't have to be retrofitted. Vehicles first homologated before that date do not have to be fitted with DLRs however the ARP4 may have been considered a new homologation because it varied significantly from previous versions and to be secure the DTLs were applied.

Personally I nearly always have the headlights on and I find it a bit strange that the DLR rules only apply to front lights. In our area you often see cars in the tunnels with only front DLRs on.

I had my side lights wired to come on with the ignition. Partly as the car is small and dark I see it as a safety feature and partly because it fixed a fault on the PCB.
I agree Peter that DLR rules should include the rear lights.

I doubt that DLRs are fitted to the ARP4, mine doesn't have this wiring configuration, nor have I heard about it on any others, although I suppose it is possible. I suspect it was an error when laying in or connecting the wiring loom. As it happens, I do normally drive with the sidelights on, as on the LED lights fitted to the ARP4, the side light is in the centre of the light unit, though only seems to use one LED, so not sure quite how much use it is.

Best thing is to take the car to a dealer and claim under a goodwill warranty or even sale of goods act as it is plainly wrong.

As Old Man pointed out to me, the issue is not presence of DRL's but the fact the sidelights remain on with engine off and ignition key out, on a forum members ARP4.
