Days of the "double nickel" speed limit. I vaguely remember all cars in USA had speedometers that did not have any markings above 85mph. Can't remember what was on my hire car in Portland Or back in the early 80s. So could be failing memory!   You could well be right Graham but I do know you can buy an after market speedo with a max of 95 MPH. The movie car was modified that way so it could show 88 MPH ( then you were going to see some serious shite......)

This is a little cracker of a car. Interesting to see how the "registration aspect" works 1933 3Wheeler Sold at US 30,000 almost as much as a second hand modern M3W
