Just reading Octane mag for November and came across this To Let ad for the old Donington Museum, which must now be almost empty

Although Palmersport's involvement will no doubt improve the Circuit facilities, it does make me sad that the Museum has finally gone

In its day the Museum was very good indeed and well worth a visit.

I did some Marketing strategy work for them ...must have been about 1990?

Always sad to see a Motoring Museum close but they have to move with the times.

It shut its doors a year ago today.

It's always a shame when a museum closes, especially when the collection is split up and disappears into private hands. However, some of the cars that the museum had preserved have gone back into historic racing which is a good result.

I went there the day before my first date with MrsW to be...……..

So autumn 1976, when the circuit was mainly limestone chippings, and there was Army stuff laid around, and the Melbourne loop was untouched.

The museum was fresh and full, and obviously nothing later than 1976!!!

Tom Wheatcroft was usually lounging in the café each time we went.

Somewhere I have a cine film of the day, but it's quite embarrassing as we did the Monkees walk on the circuit...…..

I would make a donation to a charity of your choice to see that. Anyone else?
