A possible alternative..?
http://morganspecialist.com/VSM_2011/Welcome.html,
I know of a rear alloy wing supplied by the company in Manchester that was well made and well packed to arrive by courier.. though that was some years back.
PhilT sorry to read that it seemed to be a struggle to fit a replacement wing to your Morgan, but I suspect that older Morgans were hand built that it would seem logical (?) that replacement panels might have a degree of difference in their dimensions and require a measure of skill to make them "fit"..?
You mention Ferrari...I think I have typed elsewhere on this forum of a visit to the parts department of a Porsche/Ferrari dealer, and while passing time with the parts guy, he related to me the story of a stolen and recovered Ferrari, the door lock had been torn out of the alloy door panel to gain entry. The dealer ordered a new door skin for the car, it was not even close to the shape of the car door. Next stage was to order a whole new door, it arrived, same problem no way it would fit without extensive bodywork..... They repaired the damaged panel on the original door... dressed the bashes out and filled as necessary....How many VERY expensive "classic" cars do you imagine do not have a degree of filler in them somewhere...????
I suspect cars assembled by robots may have bolt on replacement panels that "fit" though perhaps not in every case...?
Just thinking in type..
