Would they have replaced the chassis during the upgrade? Would it be the 91st Superdry or 91st 3 Wheeler? If it is an early car that has been upgraded, I would think a Morgan Dealer would have had to tell me? Would the upgraded car have a new car factory warranty? Thanks in advance for the answers.

Chassis number is stamped onto frame that supports right hand seat squab BTW. Welcome to 3 Wheeler World John!  If you fancy some more detective work, remove the boot liner and you should find the body number stamped into the ash frame. There may be some kind of approximate correlation between the original chassis number & the body number. For instance, my June 2012 chassis number is M3W214 and the body number is 0223.

John I'm sure the 91st reference is a red herring John. The VIN number you quoted has the tenth character as "G" decoding to 2016 build year. FWIW mine built in March 2016 had VIN # SA9M3WV2EGP202036 (UK spec car) with the same G as tenth character. Whilst Morgan VIN numbers fail with most VIN decoders, the actual sequence is explained here.

I am very excited. I have been wanting a 3 Wheeler for going on 5 years now and have had a number of near misses with auctions (BAT, Ebay) and failed private negotiations. I made a number of what I considered to be strong offers on early cars with low mileage and no updates. I was ready to buy an early car and do the updates, as needed, but could never find the right deal. This forum provided great guidance during my search and I am sure will continue to provide great information as I move into the world of 3 wheeler ownership/enjoyment.

You will enjoy every minute of owning it even if/when it lets you down. I looked at the 3 wheeler for a long time as well until I could get the courage up to buy it. Never looked back since. Glad to see another person relatively close by. Which dealer are you picking it up from? Morgantown?
