Wilson, as your new chassis is post 2014 you're not affected.
+1 on Hugo's comment, none of the dealers seem to know anything yet.

Contacted my dealer, BerryBrook Motors, Exeter at 0900 this morning. They knew nothing at all. I sent them the MMC Notice. Straight away Sean the owner of the dealership said that he will carry out any work necessary to my Mog to correct any problems. He knowns that Maria and I are using our Mogs all the time. They called the factory and the guys on the "shop floor" so to speak knew nothing about a recall for these problems. The day has passed by and BerryBrook received an e-mail around 1600 hrs from MMC telling them of the potential problems, ie Chassis and brake pedal. Asking the dealers to contact all their known owners of potentially affected early models just to warn them of this problem. Just chatted with Sean at 1700 hrs, he is extremely concerned with the numbers of affected early models that he has shipped abroad and how any fix will take place and where and by whom ? The MMC e-mail makes no indication of what remedial work is needed to ensure the correct brake set up is fitted. I would imagine this will be a bit of a logistical problem for Morgan to sort out and until they say exactly what the fix will be I suppose it's sit and wait ? Looking forward to the "fix" so we can continue to enjoy the Mog for the rest of the summer. Ian

I have emailed Dave Cartwright to ask if this might have been looked at when they did the total rebuild. Wilson PS depending on how urgent the whole issue is, I could remove my pedal box in October down at where my M3W has its winter holidays and send that to Malvern to be checked and modified if required. If it is urgent, I am back in the UK for close to three weeks mid July to early August and I could bring the pedal box with me.

I almost traded in my 4/4 in a private deal for. 3 wheeler. I wanted one so bad, but then I discovered through this excellent forum about the frames craccking, and the drivetrain problems, belts, sprockets, centa and so on. i still want one, when they can make it reilable. I´ve been a guinea pig or lab rat for my current 4/4, but I don´t want to do it all over again for a 3 wheeler. But I do admire all those outside MMC that do, and have done given a contribution to make this vehicle into what it should have been from the start.

Given the gravity of the M3W issues I find it amazing that a more vociferous responce has not been seen on this forum. Perhaps it's one reason it has taken this long for MMC to move towards rectifying issues of a life threatening nature. Your post intimates that your 4/4 has not exactly been free from defects - MMC has had a long long time to get the 4/4 properly sorted after such a long production run. It may help others of us 4/4 owners to know in a little more detail what your findings have been especially if they were of a safety issue .

You need to research and know what you are buying, particularly with a pre 2014 car. At least these two safety related recall items should help make buying an earlier M3W less of a risk. An upgraded early car is still a good option, I have one myself.

I seem to remember a few years ago that someone here had a brake pedal go south on them. I think the hole in the sheet metal pedal tore out and the pedal became loose.
It could have been the clutch pedal, but it just seems that it was the brake pedal.
The new design had better bushings and thicker metal in the pivot rod area and should be a lot stronger.
Either pedal going south would be a disaster and not time to look for a plan B, in most cases.

That may be because one of the owners on this forum was sharp enough to spot the chassis cracks a while ago and got Morgan to accept liability for repairs, so others have already been alerted to that one.

My brake pedal broke , luckily for me it happened while Krazy Horse were pumping the brakes during a fluid change . I had the early type with the M3W cut out . I seem to remember it happened at the pivot rod connection .
