I’d forgotten all about Imperial Leather soap ☺️ I used to love that as a kid as it seemed quite luxurious.
Yarwood Imperial is a deep, dark red - quite a bit darker than Mulberry.
I like your script badges.

We always use Imperial Leather Foamburst shower gel, it is luxuriously creamy (does that make me sound like a bit of a softy? ) and makes everything else seem sub-standard. Every time we have visitors stay they love it. Only on TalkMorgan could we be talking about soap and shower gel.

Blimey, Posh or what? We had Wright's Coal Tar soap and we were happy. :-)

I use quite a few aftershaves and shaving soaps from Geo F Trumper and their ‘Spanish Leather’ fragrance is exactly as I remember the smell of Imperial Leather I love it and use it frequently https://www.trumpers.com/fragrance-ranges/spanish-leather/

Quicksilver, first of all congratulations on your decision. Now comes the waiting time:)
To the soap...in March a good friend had given me a big package with English products, that was a very nice idea. E.g. Colmans mustard, or Yorkshire Gold Coffee among a lot of other nice things. It was my Brexit equipment, so to speak, before these things can never be bought from us again:) Haha.
Among the delicious things there was also the Wright's Coal Tar soap. We tried it. Honestly: The bathroom smelled like a coal mine, at least like our coal stove 39 years ago in my student flat, and additionally it smelled very intensively like tar. We lovingly wrapped this piece of soap and banished it...

It’s funny how smells set up such powerful memories. I enjoyed reading all the comments about soap and Imperial Leather and now I’m going to have get some. I draw the line at my father’s Old Spice though.

..I draw the line at my father’s Old Spice though. An aunt used to buy that for me. It sat in a cupboard for years...

Wrights coal tar for me although counteracts with Imperial leather occasionally. Reminds me of the smell of Anthracite when firing up the stove on my narrowboat

My Spec has finally gone to Morgan so the agony of choice will give way to the agony of waiting. I’m trying to give it a 60’s look.
Roadster in Dove Grey with Imperial trim.
Looking forward to the photos David
