Since it mentioned France; I've understood that during the early years MMC let them build a "Darmont-Morgan" under licence. You will not find a similar care here, just adding for some information. http://morgan3w.de/darmont/darmont.htmBut perhaps it could be something built by them; or just an early kit car attempt: three wheels and a prominently painted name, et voilą: a Morgan.

found this on a car site and wonder if it can be identified? 3 wheeler mystery 5th picture down... Darmont, circa 1924? There is a very good pic in Peter Miller's book, "Morgan Three -Wheeler- The Complete Story" at page 178, which suggests it might be G

But if it were a Darmont, would it have Morgan emblazoned on the side?

Yes, I guessed it because I had heard about it; but also thought there were similarities, the back of the car etc. By the way, a very beautiful car in your images, with a very nice colour!

Yes. See the images on the page Philip linked to. It says Morgan; also the plate about the license. As I understand it, they later on developed their own models, don't know how they were branded, if only Darmont.

But if it were a Darmont, would it have Morgan emblazoned on the side? Fair point, but it was always made clear ( and as I understand it this was something Harry Morgan insisted upon) that the Darmont- notwithstanding the fact that it developed some of its own distinctive features such as having 'Darmont' cast into JAP and Blackburne crank casings- was clearly identified as being a Morgan built under licence. There are examples of advertising material from the 'twenties using phrases such as " R Darmont- Constructeur du MORGAN" and referring to the car as a MORGAN type DARMONT SPECIAL Don't know if that really gets us any farther tho!
