That seems to be an extraordinary short life for a battery. Still under warranty? Could it just be just loose or corroded terminals?
I replaced mine after 8 years with a Halfords HBC075 which has a 4 year warranty. It fits the rack ok and seems fine. That was £78 last summer but they have gone up a bit since as sellers are well aware that winter is when demand rises.

Mine usually lasy at least 7 years but I use a CTEK conditioner. Halfords supplied the last but one battery & it was 8 years old & going strong when I sold the car.

7 years seems about average for a modern wet battery.

Sounds about right. One thing worth mentioning based on two vehicles I don't use everyday is that they will always take a noticeable current when put on charger, even if last journey was a long one leaving battery fully charged.

A typical new lead/acid battery will loose 5% of its charge/month if left and this will only worsen with age. This before any tiny static loads are taken into account.

Unfortunately my garage is in a block no mains electric. I do have solar panel on the roof though didn't seem to work this time as it did with the Aero.

Go to your local motor factor and compare their price with Halfords.
They will usually give you some trade discount if you mention you're a member of the Morgan Sports Car Club.
I have always found my local to be cheaper than Halfords and great service when trying to identify a part.

I use these guys for batteries - very good service and value -

Assuming 075 is the one - there are many choices.

No connection ( pun alert!!), just a happy customer.
