I turned 70 this past October 20th and am retiring at the end of this year. I've been in the plastics industry for 37 plus years and it's time to pull the plug.

Five years ago I was sitting at O'Brady's Pub & Grill in Hesperia CA while working in Victorville. I had been there off and on for five weeks on a startup at a plastics company. I figured this is going to be my five year countdown. So I told all the right people when I got back to work in St. Louis MO and then it was a joke of sorts, "how many more days Dan?" So I set up a countdown on my iPhone and it tells the days, hours, minutes, you get the idea.

Well I have 12 more working days to go as December 19th will be my last work day and then I'm technically on vacation until January 6th or 7th. This should get me my 2020 4 weeks vacation pay, I hope!

I've got tons of projects to work on. I still have to finish my Boardtrack racer V-Twin bike project to get money for my next V-Twin project. Who knows it might just be a M3W if I can find a well priced one.

I'm not going anywhere and will continue to annoy you all as much as possible here on the forum...

I am 66+ so the count down idea sounds great to me. I plan on retiring Jan 1 of 2024 that way I get the Dec 31 annual company pay into my 401K.

I am now recruiting for the 2023 class of resident physicians (20-23) and am realizing that will be the last class I will see all the way through their training.

Congratulations Dan! You obviously have a hobby to keep you busy so enjoy your retirement.

I am 73 and have retired twice, the second time it seemed more final. My M3W is the hobby to see me through the boredom that can be retirement and it is keeping me real busy😊

Dan, Congratulations. I will be turning 70 in April. Retired 6 years ago and have been having a ball with my Three Wheeler. When I was looking at it in 2017, my wife said "better get it while you can still get in and out" I can still get in and out.

We bought a used '12 RAM 1 ton dually 6.7L diesel in July and in August purchased the '13 Keystone Raptor toy hauler. It's 43' long with a 12' garage. Will a M3W fit in a 12' garage?



Right now I have two B&W Biker Bars mounted in the garage to haul my two Harleys. These things are the bomb! You ride into them and they latch in place to a clamp bar you attach to the bottom bike frame rails. The bar does not stay on the bike while riding, only for hauling etc. So when you ride into the floor mounted docking system, there's no need for tie downs, just step off the bike and that's that!



The tan in the picture is actually the garage carpeting that gets rolled up when hauling bikes etc. The rear ramp makes into a party deck with an awning when needed. It also has a half bath in the garage that my wife says is mine. She does not share a bathroom with me at home and will not in the toy hauler... It has three slides with a queen bed in the master. Even has central vacuum!

There's 10 states that Linda has not been to, so we hope to hit them this summer. I also have reservations for the 80th Sturgis Bike Rally this coming August for 14 nights. We've always stayed in hotels in Keystone SD, but this time we'll be around 15 miles away in Hill City area. Great riding in that area and we only do the Sturgis Rally for one day and ride the rest of the time.

So that may keep me busy for a while...

Lance, I guess I'm still pretty healthy and get around well enough.

This lunch time I cut up two 25' 4"x4" "I" beams into 8' lengths for my basement walls. I carried them fine at 120# to move them and stack them up. So for now I'm good to go. But I will enlist my neighbor to help me carry them through the house and downstairs, don't want to hit the walls or anything.

Dan, 12’ long garage might work, but real tight.

Looks like a fun adventure, and kudos for not having to share the bathroom with your significant other.

Will a M3W fit in a 12' garage?

From the Owner's Handbook - Overall Dimensions:

Length (Wheel to brake light) 3,225mm (10' 7")
Width (wheel arches) 1,720mm (5' 8")
Height (roll hoops) 1,000mm (3' 3")

Note, the height is for a Euro 3 car, a Euro 4 will be a couple of inches higher.

So length wise it looks as if you're good to go

Reg, I've often thought what I would be like in the UK and Europe with a rig like mine. I think it would be a get to a place and park forever...

Chris, thanks for the overall measurements. The outside of my toy hauler is 8'-4" wide, so inside is somewhere around 7'-8". It's full height throughout the garage, so no height issues and at 10'-7", it would fit fine. The garage and ramp have a 3,000# limit, so weight wise not a problem either.

Now it just boils down to finances for the M3W...
