These flex too much for use in a Morgan with the small pad that is fixed to the screen. The first one lasted less than 300 miles. The second one about the same. The flex is such that on a motorway, the image moves around so much that it is e=very distracting. I tried two different brands too.



Never had an issue with mine for some reason
I had the mirror stuck on to my last Mog and it lasted 3 years and 12,000 miles before I took it off using a jet lighter to heat up the metal bit when I changed to a folding windscreen

I remember seeing somewhere (maybe here) where someone replaced the blocks with small stainless steel knobs secured from the outside with countersunk allen headed bolts . I like this idea and if mine ever fall off, I will replace them with guitar strap knobs.

The Plus Six has some rather delightful round Perspex knobs.

Agreed, when I asked the factory why they had changed it's because the current square ones won't pass the latest occupant safety test
