So that just leaves the price. I'd say a base spec Plus 4 with a Turbo 4 Cylinder engine will be £55,000 and a normally aspirated base spec 4/4 £50,000

I'd also say that a new CX chassis 4/4 will be a radical departure from the current 4/4 so will the claim of the 'worlds oldest production car' title still apply?

Agree John I was just thinking that seeing a base Plus 6 is currently £78,000 then a Plus 4 has to be around £63,000 and a 4/4 if it continues £55,000

So we're to have a limited run Plus 4 70th edition next year with trad chassis to gobble up all the old parts?? Hope they keep a few for spares innocent

I'll bet the price won't be far short of CX chassis offering to minimise sales lost to ladder chassis model.

No doubt the limited run plus 4 will be priced at 60k up to cash in on it being the last of the Trads. No doubt also it’s new platform replacement will be 65-70k upwards for the basic spec. 63k for a generously specced Roadster is starting to look like a bargain.

Now it has been publicly announced, I wonder if there will be a last minute rush of Trad orders before they disappear for ever?

After the reopening of the visitor center I wanted to do a factory tour with my son and nephew. It would be very nice if I could still see Trads in the construction phase. Maybe the chances are not so bad when a farewell model of the Plus 4 is planned.

I'm glad I did a factory tour this year but there were only Plus 4's and Plus 6's in production.

As you say the end of the era of the trads is a good reason to do another factory tour in the Spring when the new visitors centre open. Hopefully there may still be some of the final Plus 4 trads under construction.
