Mike, welcome to the forum, I do hope you enjoy the time you spend here, and more importantly really enjoy your Morgan. When I thought a Morgan might fit my personal ideals over 20 years ago, I was new to the WWW and found the MSCC discussion group. I typed up a resume of my automotive path and asked "Which Morgan" in the hope of receiving a response and was both pleased and surprised to find so many people interested in helping me determine which Morgan might suit me best.. (-:
Is it reasonable to ask what convinced you to buy a Morgan..? Not knowing what you are used to driving and what modern aids might have been available to keep you out of the hedges when enjoying the countryside, in a Morgan it is all down to you, so it might be best for you to take time to know your Mog before giving it the beans.. A track day can be good for that.. (-:
I have to admit that I had no idea of what an arp4 might be, though on beaming up the press release, and reading the word Cosworth piqued my interest and even more so when linked to Morgan, superb, definitely a rather special Morgan. I noted at the end of the press release it states that the ARP 4 is suited for long distance touring, well now there is a challenge given some of the trips that some folk have taken on over the years..You only need to read some of Bill Buttons adventures, the GoMoG webmaster too who has driven in Canada the US, England, Scotland, and France in his Morgans..and the guys who took on the Peking to Paris adventure, to name but a few, even I managed a few trips down to Southern Europe in my old +8
Compliments of the season and compliments on your choice of a Morgan, and wishing you a very enjoyable Morganeering new Year when it comes your way.

Hopefully it will be used for trips to the continent etc The first time I have driven one !! I also have an Aston Martin v12 vantage s which is a keeper so they do make a nice pair of British sports cars Cheers Mike

Hi Mike Welcome to the world of Morgan ownership from an Aberdeenshire owner. I also bought my Morgan from Melvyn Rutter, around two years ago now.
Initially I had no intention of of traveling abroad with the car but a conversation with a Morgan owner who was picking his car up at the time convinced me that it had to be done! I'm so glad he did as it ranks as one of the best holidays I've ever had.
Take time to get to know the the car and enjoy it fully, it'll bring a huge smile to your face for sure.

welcome to the forum!
There is already plenty of advice given - so enjoy your drives. And of course enjoy the pretty lights, that should fill the night better than mine;-)
Cheers
