Hi All,

I would like to ask a simple question about the new Morgan 3 Wheeler

But I will start with introducing myself, My name is Mika Morgan, I live in Perth Western Australia and I'm a Morgan car virgin, I love all things British, mainly the kookie unreliable type and for example I bought myself a British Synchronome master clock just because I fancied the look and design of the clock and then spent the next 5 years trying to get the bloody thing to run, she now runs beautifully, I also own a 09 110 Land Rover Defender which I love with all its english questionable build quality.. I'm hoping to put a order in once our Morgan dealer sorts out the legalities of design rules, I really cant wait!!! this car for me is the most exciting most collectable cars produced in modern times, maybe even the last!

The question is I'm 6 foot 5 or 196cm and 95kgs ... So will I fit in the best vehicle in the world ???

We aren't lucky enough to have a car in Aus yet so to the kind gents that have been blessed to sit or even drive one of these beauties, Please let me know what you think, I need to know sooner rather than later so I can look into surgical solutions and make sure the leg operations heal and the physio can take effect well before arrival date.

Ah, you'll want the stretched 3W-L, then. If you end up purchasing one, however, you may still need to keep your toenails well-trimmed.

Actually, there was a six-foot-eighter running around here who did sit in a 3W, or at least he attempted to. If/when I run across his post again, I'll reference it.

Maybe you could get in contact with Morgan Australia , they could have in the next months an M3W for demonstration.
And you'll be abble to check if you fit in.

(for information Morgan France will have one in June, so Morgan Australia should have the same treatment)

Thanks have been in contact already, I wonder if any other close countries will be getting 3Wheelers in before Aus, might be worth a holiday!!

I had the opportunity to sit in a three wheeler yesterday at Goodwood and hopefully have good news.

I am not as tall as you , but height will not be the issue although the seat is fixed the pedals are movable. Not sure if this is one of fix for the driver or whether they will be adjustable.

I am also a bit bigger, lets say 100kgs + and had no trouble getting in and out. Actually found it easier that getting in and out of my +4. Especially as the roll bars provide excellent grip and leverage.

The removable steering wheel is also a help and would make a welcome option to the trads!!!!!

A couple of things to note....

1 the footwell is very narrow, precise footwork and narrow shoes will be the order of the day.

2 getting out it was tempting to put a foot on the seat (which i wouldn't want to do in my own car) to ensure I could step well clear of the exhaust.

All that said, just sitting in it brought smile to my face as it did to everyone else I saw.

That does sound promising!! I look forward to the day I can sit in one, only fearing I might get some form of human dog knot only being separated buy a good hosing off by the common garden hose. I know, I have problems!!

I have read rumors of the pedal block being adjustable, was the pedal block setup quick release or bolts?? hopefully Morgan keeps this in the final release.

I like the sound of the foot well tunnel being so narrow, makes me feel secure when driving cars like that, give me that race car feeling and I might have to buy a nice pair of vintage style race boots to solve my clod hopper precision problems. (anyone recommend a pair)

Thanks for your review on seating position, it would just kill me if I didn't fit..

Hi Mika,
The example I sat in was a non working, pre production car with fixed pedals. One of the guys from the factory who was there on the day was telling a group of us of the "plans" for adjustable pedals.

Another point that was brought up that I hadn't thought of was the recommendation to wear a helmet. The windscreens offer little or no protection from flying stones and the like, so at the very least you have an excuse to buy a new pair of sturdy sunnies..

The MTW will be classified as a three-wheeled motor-cycle. In many countries/states helmets are required by law when driving motor-cycles, but in he UK helmets are not mandatory for tricycles.
