Not as much as his Morgan that he had painted in leopard print. Here at the british MOG (2004 ?), this picture is well known. . ![[Linked Image]](https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2019/12/26//19122610472017093216573050.jpg) Another picture during a French Morgan Club gathering in 2006 ![[Linked Image]](https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2019/12/26//19122610551717093216573058.jpg) Alain is a very "special" guy........ but he is my friend and a very nice boy !.

Another fine day and so off to Brighton for lunch. Kingpins freshly greased, all the lights working with LEDs in all but the indicators and headlamps, hood down and fairly quiet roads. We battled to find a parking place where we could keep an eye on the car and so eventually retreated back home for bean casserole. Altogether a round trip of 100 miles or so, the final 20 saw the Morgan heater beaten by the ambient temp and we got progressively colder, just made it before capitulating and erecting the hood.

Yes we did. Off to Cranleigh for a coffee and back by way of Ewhurst and Beare Green, 40miles in all. Hood down again, not as cold today as yesterday.
I continue to enjoy the full Morgan experience as I left the sidelights on from yesterday’s run and the battery was just flat enough to not turn the engine. A half an hour of charging from the C-Tek unit brought it back to life and off we went, making a mental note not to leave the lights on. Access to the battery On a 4 seater is pretty difficult on a 4 seater and so we had a C-Tek connection lead fitted exiting into the storage area behind the passenger seats, and a very useful feature it proved to be today.

Went out for some milk and to check tyre pressures at the garage and ended up taking a run over to Richmond Park. No deer about but loads of cyclists bobbing about in the dark, their lights visible from a mile off - no danger there. Also quite a few people with torches walking dogs with collars ringed with lights. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2019/12/29/485407A0-753C-46F8-9F09-A572FF9066E8.md.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2019/12/29/2DB82817-AF7A-4E68-802B-859ECE1389CC.md.jpg)

Finally..finally... dry roads, mostly.
Checked tyre pressures yesterday, found they were all down about 5psi. Adjusted the pressures and had to go out to check the car felt right. It did, so I thought I'd explore. Nowhere special, just the countryside around where I live.
Then today I needed to go to Waitrose..another dry day with the sun peaking out from the clouds. Hood down, heater on full, seats on "hot", really rather nice. When I got back to the car it was the centre of attention, 4 or 5 "mature" gentlemen looking at it, photographing it. It took me about 10 mins to escape! On the way home I came across a flood and thought I'd find another way home, that added to the journey. I must say the new springs and dampers have transformed the ride, other than the back is a bit soft: the dampers need a bit of adjustment: at the moment they are set as soft as possible. Looking good, running well, another year beckons.

Lovely weather for a drive today. 54 mile round trip almost to Belvoir Castle along the back roads. V v pleasant time. Apart from the two of three groups of cyclists (riding for three or four miles between villages taking up the whole road even though they knew I was patiently driving slowly behind them then turning right without any signalling or looking behind as I finally tried to carefully overtake separate groups at different points and no it wasn’t a race just leisure groups). Will say no more for fear of causing offence and don’t wish to bore people (but can’t restrain myself) but bloody hell....SELFISH, IGNORANT BARSTOOLS. And breathe HB

Forgot to post this yesterday - my brother was visiting, so we went out for a 30-mile circuit with the roof off. He's been in the car once before, but with the roof on, and was very impressed with the comfort and the performance. He's now considering a convertible as his next car - he mainly uses a motorbike at the moment! Photos taken by Mum.... Nice run out over Dartmoor with lots of people out walking and ponies, cattle and sheep grazing. The prison and the TV transmitting mast at Princetown were shrouded in low cloud all looking a little surreal. The prison which was built by the Napoleonic prisoners of war is due for closure shortly, my good lady and I were speculating as to how many "bespoke" boutique cells they will be able to sell off to the second home owners that abound in our area . We already have Chelsea on Sea at Salcombe so maybe Chelsea on the Moor . At 6C on the moor it was bracing but wonderful.
