Seat belts that didn't get snarled up with the tonneau cover! +1 for that, it's really horrible everytime you drive with the tonneau And a bit higher to prevent the ripping when you drive in town

what would it be? What aspect of the design would you most like altered? Simple little examples suffice: mild steel screws when brass should be used; very poor finishing of things such as edges etc when it is quite obvious that a madman with a tin snips has been let loose; truly dreadful hoses Your comments are distressing, and cause me to wonder what to expect with regard to my 3W's build quality. Morgans are too costly to have the sorts of problems you mentioned, and such comments are contrary to the perception of an exclusive hand-built brand. GLLHG, do you have an older Morgan, maybe? Could quality have improved in recent years? When my 3W arrives, I'll be 100 miles from the closest dealer, and would be extremely disappointed by shoddy/sloppy build quality. What do you mean by "truly dreadful hoses?" What other quality flaws should one routinely expect to encounter? Do others concur with your assessments? Please be candid, since this represents a significant purchase for me – thank you! Steve, I don't think you should be overly- concerned about my 'gripes' as they might apply across the board. As many posters on this site will confirm, ( Boshly, where are you?) I have a personal niggle about this stuff which probably isn't replicated by others. My car is a 2000 4/4 and when I bought it I went for it -rather than a Roadster- because I knew that on a personal level there would be things I wanted to upgrade, so I reduced my initial purchase budget accordingly I think the imporant thing to grasp is that - certainly so far as the trads are concerned- the cars are built down to a budget( as they have to be with small volume production) so a certain amount of 'borrowing' of parts from other sources is inevitable) In terms of hoses, I can only speak of my own 4/4 but the 'set' I had were a mixture of things and the overall effect was pretty cr*ppy Probably the biggest 'plus' is thst the factory are very obliging in terms of sorting out any faults new car owners have. So, as I said, don't be overly put off by my moans HTH regards, G

Please be candid, since this represents a significant purchase for me – thank you! Hi Steven all the following relate to 4 wheelers. Whilst it is an issue, do not worry too much it, handbuilt cars are inherently less well built then mass produced cars and that has to be accepted when getting one. I have had 5 handbuilt cars and reckon it takes 2 years to fully debug them (I am in Jersey so being nearer the dealers would halve this time I suspect). My '02 +8 was the worst built of the 5 cars mentioned (Excellent quality hoses tho :-) and whilst my experiences may have been atypical they were certainly not unique. I believe that the quality of the components, (in most cases) is better now, conversely there is a lot of pressure to keep the cars build times as keen as possible. It looks to me that the build of the M3W is going to be more component based than the trads - A sensible direction which should improve quality, (arguably) at the expense of the true concept of hand built cars. But the trick to handling this issue is: 1) Chose a dealer who you can establish a rapport with and has good reputation. 2) Never, ever accept "they all do that sir" (Once one has established a level of reasonableness, a brand new 4 wheeler trad, should not leak, squeak, rattle, chaff paint etc. Conversely do not expect to hear a standard radio above 50mph, don't expect braking to match modern stiff chassised, massive tyred, ABS equipped cars). Another bonus point is that the Aftermarket for these cars is pretty amazing, If there is something that you just cannot get to like on the cars, some skilled individual will have come up with a solution. (I'm sure that the M3W aftermarket will evolve at a rate of knots) Finally from my own experience once a Mog is fixed it tends to stay fixed. This is the big difference from the otherwise better built TVR's I have had.

I think for my aero I would change a couple of things, minor but each would make it a better experience.
Left foot rest for longer journeys. Less rattles and fettling needed through fewer and more integrated parts/assemblies. Improved weatherproofing to allow it to be used more of the year.
What I would not change, ever Gentle manner with non aggressive visuals (Eva looks a bit Audi-aggressive to me) Method of manufacture, real people in this country, brands are made and continued through actions not PR. They are to be applauded for this continued commitment. Big smile fitted as standard.
I am certain your M3W will have a few rattles, embrace them and go with the flow. You will love it all the more. A friend of mine said his Ferrari was always in the dealer, he does less miles than I do !
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I missed the obvious one - shallower sump for the Roadster. So easy to sort but so unlikely to get sorted.

Yes he mills a slice off the low side and welds an aluminium plate in the hole. The sump plug is repositioned. It's a nice job, and he did one for me using a Mondeo sump to have as a spare. But it only gains a few cm - I think five is quoted, and really it's not enough. We saw what can be done at Superform. It just needs a redesign so that the sump is belled but shallower. It would also need the oil pick up to be shortened slightly, and to be honest, the Getrag box could do with losing a few cm from the bellhousung. Then the lowest point would be the gearbox crossmember. If I had limitless wealth I'd commission it myself...........
