Hiding the hinge is very difficult on wooden dashboards. It would require some special type of hinge.

Stop gossiping at the back there! Read the class rules on the blackboard! laugh2

This demonstrates at least 3 people... :-)
Ian’s post is welcome reminder of my 1983 4/4 4str wt CVH, as it had the same dash, with the alarm lights from jaguar, I recall.
Strange that I never thought of upgrading this dash, whilst in my Roadster I get disturbed by superficial scratches on the dash...
Cheers,
Bert

Looks great I am waiting for mine to come back from a wooden boat builder specialist, the reason for choosing them is that boat builders know all about preserving wood in extreme weather conditions

Just had my 1969 4/4 two seater dashboard wood veneer restored by a wooden boat builder specialist. The thinking behind this that boats are out in all winds and weathers so the varnish/lacquer should stand the test of time

All I have added to my dash is the Wolf Bezels to the warning lights, Morgan script badge in the glove compartment, and a Smiths clock. Oh yeah and the ugly phone holder

This is a pic of my 1985/6 Morgan +8 dashboard. The wheel is non-original, and reflections from the back of it on the windscreen can be an annoyance in bright weather... I do have the original matt black wheel, though guess I am prepared to put up with the down sides of polished metal... Go figure.. (-:
