Just as I was contemplating joining MSCC after 16 years of ownership Peter you tipped me back over the other way again Richard, understood. I take the view that I'd not normally join a club that would want me as a member...! The MSCC is a bit like the proverbial Curate's Egg. So MSCC Centres all differ, markedly. It depends very much on the local Centre Secretary and Committee. Some are cliquey, others are not. LogMog is mostly about driving not far to a pub or restaurant for a social event. Not really our scene. Swanmog seems to believe in driving a few hundred miles to somewhere nice, staying a couple or 3 nights, exploring the area, then going home. Unfortunately their next adventure is based near where we live...so we will give it a miss. But the last one in the IOW was amazing. Peter, thank you for your honesty it would seem to be very dependent on which is your local branch as it were. Clubs are not my thing anyway really and a trip to the pub personally is not our thing either so I'll leave it for now I think. I have thoroughly enjoyed the TM outings we have had and look forward to some more in the future this is possibly as we know each other on here anyway and has been said a lot of us have met face to face. Just realising I have made it sound like a sort of club haven't I

Peter, yes we prefer the drive & stay over format. The next one is to the IoM for us with Swanmog.

I have found that there is a wide variety of club events to choose from and the members are invariably welcoming and enthusiastic, so they’re always enjoyable

I have a 2002 Plus8 . It does not overheat but the fan does come on and is clearly heard. Aluminium radiator ( maybe Morgan original as no details of changes in the car’s history file). The fan kicks in at 95 on the temperature gauge. It has the temp sensor switch in the top tank, left side. In summer the car runs at 85-90 deg so the fan can cut in when in slow traffic/ on stop as airflow is gone. In winter she is currently running at about 80 deg and fan rarely cuts in ( needs longer on stop to get hotter). Last autumn I fitted bonnet extenders to open the rear of the bonnet to help air escape and theoretically improve airflow. This appears to have reduced coolant temp by a couple of degrees to just below the previous temp. I am hoping summer temps will improve as well. I am considering fitting airscoop/ducting to improve airflow further but space is at a premium. Looking at ideas at the moment. Oops! Posted in wrong thread. Copied to correct one.

Fabulous drive up to Stony Stratford with Mrs FT then home via Woburn. Terrific weather for the time of year - mild and dry! Dry roads as well so as a bonus the Morgan didn't even get dirty.

Rained here overnight & more to come otherwise I was off to Sutton Hoo NT day care centre in the Mog Wed. It might have to be the tin top. But I should make the Folkmog committee meeting in the Mog on Sat according to the forecast.

Over to Woking, also with hood up, to play guitar with my brother. I feel improved by adding an F minor flattened 5th to my repertoire.
Why do BMW 3 series drivers need to be in front?
