I purchased a basket case 4/4 and I am not sure if there is supposed to be welting or some sort of beading between the chassis and fender panels. I sure do like the Morgan Talk site, I have gotten more information that the books don't tell. Dale

Hi Dale,
On my 1967 4/4 from new there was only a bitumen layer where wood touches the chassis.

If you mean between the wings and the body, there is a welting.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I was concerned for the areas between the fenders (wings) and the Tub. That would be the same as The MG's Dale

Thanks for the info, I have a TF and it has a beading between the tub and fenders. I don't find the parts listed any where but I remember seeing some Morgans with the beading and others not. Dale
