Been doing quite a few miles over the winter to give the new engine a good running in and set up before the MOT.

Well today was the day and I'm pleased and relieved to say that Mog passed with flying colours.

To be honest I was nervous about the emissions testing and whether I had got the ECU calibrated well enough with the new settings.

Needn't have worried though as it sailed through with even better emission numbers than the older 1800 engine.

Now I can relax and just enjoy the extra power.

Next run on Friday to get new tyres fitted.

Been a couple of weeks since I drove Duchess as work and study commitments have taken over. But working from home today and the sun was shining so had to take a long lunch and we went out & about around the Chiltern hills. 26 miles up through the lanes in and around Chinnor and Bledlow Ridge really enjoyed myself and blew away some cobwebs. Chinnor high street is a really good place to place to test out the new bump stops notworthy thanks to the venerable Roger Jones. As a newbie to Mogging, ( first 500 miles under the belt) I learnt a valuable lesson on the need to avoid roadkill as Buckinghamshire fat pheasants don't fit too well under the old girl. Suppose I'll have to take a look and if the chassis need cleaning up rofl

Still need to to tinker with the bumps stops and fit the new door stays which arrived today crazy2.

We had very rainy wether for a lot of weeks.

Today was the first nice day since several weeks.
It was cold (+2) but sunny.

I had to prepare (new battery, steam wash.. ) one of my bikes for a fotosession and interview by a well known german oldtimer magazin on Saturday.

So I took the chance to make a short drive with the 4/4 to look for some locations where the photographer and the journalist can make the foto shooting. It was a great pleasure.

Exceptionally good weather has been announced also for Saturday. So swmbo suggested a trip with the 4/4.
But I had to confess to her that I have to drive the bike.... sos

Great pre-Storm Ciara run along E Devon lanes in bright sunshine - not even particularly cold!
